They take place all over the U.S. and usually have a fun theme. You get to meet other florists, learn about the latest trends from some of the best designers and teachers in the floral industry, put your creativity to test, and much much more!
If you are from the mid-south area look into attending Arkansas Florist Association's Convention. They will host the 64th annual Floral Convention on Aug 18-21 with the theme - Mo Rockin’ Flair, in Hot Springs.
The convention will start off by hosting the annual Billy Wells golf tournament on Thursday night, August 18. You don't need to be a pro at golf to play, just play for fun and enjoy the day! The fun will continue the following day with dinner and a design show. Right after the design show a Trade Market Preview called “Moonlight Madness” will begin.
Saturday and Sunday will be filled with shopping, classes, and programs. Saturday will conclude with the President’s Banquet. At this elegant banquet, everyone who competed in the education and design scholarship competition, Arkansas Cup and the Mid-America Invitational will be recognized. Last year there were participants coming from 15 different states to compete in the Mid-America Design Cup!
Learn from industry professionals with over 60 years of experience at the Ozark Florist Association 69th annual convention, Starry, Starry Night, on September 10-12 at the Downstream Casino Resort in Quapaw, OK.
There will be tons of fun things going on! Saturday will consist of different educational classes including a floral halo class held by a local florist. There are also two internationally known designers coming in, Tom Bowling and Gerard Toh. The eventful day will end with a nice banquet at the resort.
