Valentine's Day is upon us, and, as florists, we know that it's among the most hectic times of the year. We thought we'd help relieve some of the stress with a few tips for building your Valentine's Day sales.
Take to social media to market your Valentine's day deals and reach the last minute shoppers. Advertise a coupon code on your social media and have your customers show the post in store to partake of the offer. This is a great way to gain new followers and, therefore, new customers. Another great perk with this strategy is that these followers will see your next promotion and hopefully also partake in that one!
Know how much work you can handle at a time. It would be better to turn down a customer, than giving them a rushed bouquet that is not up to your usual standards. A customer is more likely to come back if they have a satisfying experience!
What will you tell your customers if you are out of a certain flower or color of flower? Make sure you have planned out responses so that you consistently sound sincere and respectful. This will influence the customer to be more understanding and they will be more likely to go with your suggested alternative.
Make sure your extra staff for the holiday is trained and ready to go without much assistance. Have cheat sheets available with FAQ answers. Make sure that they are as prepared as they can be for different scenarios so that your flower shop runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Look for inspiration from fellow florists on social media platforms if you feel like you need some or just for fun! Create an idea folder to keep handy if you ever need it. There are so many fun and exciting flower creations going out for Valentine's Day! Even if you don't use it right away, this idea folder could be quite handy in the future as well.
Hopefully these 5 tips will help calm your nerves a little, so you can focus on what you do best. Let's have fun and make this Valentine's Day an extraordinary one!
Thanks for your great tips of motivation.
